Brian Anderson began his Chamber career at the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce in 2008, serving there until 2015. Anderson then served as the president and CEO of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce from 2015-2019. In September 2019, Anderson was appointed as president and CEO of ChamberRVA, the regional Chamber of Commerce representing the Greater Richmond region.  

  • Anderson earned his Institute of Organizational Management certification from the U.S. Chamber in 2012, and his Certified Chamber Executive designation from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association in 2021.  

    He serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: American Chamber of Commerce Executives, Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Richmond Regional Tourism, LEAD Virginia, and the Go Virginia Grow Jobs Council. 

    Before becoming a Chamber of Commercial professional, Anderson served four years in the U.S. Army, eighteen years in the beverage industry with both Coca-Cola and Anheuser-Busch. He also served as the elected chairman of the Whitfield County, Georgia Board of Commissioners from 2005-2008. 

    Anderson is a native of Florence, South Carolina, and a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He lives in Midlothian, Virginia, with his wife Heather. They have two adult children, Douglas and Sarah Whitney and a daughter-in-law, Abby.
