Landon Shroder is a partner and co-publisher of RVA Mag, based in Richmond. Shroder is also a former journalist and producer at Vice Media, focusing on the Middle East and the global war on terror.

In addition to media, Shroder is a foreign policy professional, specializing in threat intelligence and innovation. He worked abroad for 20 years in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe for leading defense industries such as EDGE and super-majors such as Royal Dutch Shell.

In addition to RVA Mag, Shroder has written for Chatham House’s publications, Fair Observer, War on the Rocks, and World Policy Journal, as well as contributing commentary on the Middle East for The New York Times.
