Natasha S. Alford

Driven by the power of storytelling, Natasha Alford is an award-winning journalist, filmmaker, and media executive. She’s also a leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills. As the vice president of digital content and a senior correspondent for theGrio, Natasha tells stories that inspire and inform. She is also host of "TheGrio Weekly," airing on theGrio's mobile streaming channel.

After graduating from Harvard University in 2008 with an honors degree in Social Studies and a focus on African American studies and women, gender and sexuality studies, Natasha worked for a time at an investment firm, then left to pursue her passion for education. After gaining experience in the classroom and the policy sector, she pursued her ultimate dream of becoming a journalist.

Transitioning from the corporate world to the classroom taught Natasha how to work with people from diverse backgrounds and adapt quickly in any environment – experience that adds expertise to her journalism.
