Rev. Vernon Gordon
A passionate leader of leaders, visionary, and bridge builder, Vernon’s life purpose is to be a Communicator of Hope. As a speaker, consultant, author, and pastor, he strives to bring the best out of people in every context so that they can pursue their future free from fear. This passion comes from Vernon’s personal journey as a cancer survivor which required overcoming two tumors, fourteen surgeries, three years of chemotherapy, numerous complications throughout treatment, and being thought to die three times. This experience would become the catalyst to his purpose and passion as he believes time is nothing to waste.
Vernon understands that information and inspiration go hand in hand for transformation. As a result, he serves as the Lead/Founding Pastor of The Life Church with two locations in Richmond and Alexandria, Virginia. Ranked as one of the fastest growing churches in America, Vernon is a movemental leader dedicated to cultural influence. He’s authored two books, his most recent: Square One: Finding the courage to start over, stay strong, and shape your future. He is the founder of The Mosaic Project, a non-profit created to inspired social change and cultural unity for the greater good through content and coaching. And alongside his wife, founded Gordon Solutions, a full service leadership consulting firm helping leaders find solutions that shape their future.
Vernon attended Virginia Commonwealth University and obtained his Masters in Divinity from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University.
Vernon is married to his High School Sweetheart, Ashley Gordon and they have two children, Madison and Jackson.
